A Real Estate Sales Career

Have you ever considered a career in real estate?

Real estate is an exciting lucrative business that offers the freedom of being self employed, but it is not fore everyone. If you want straight answers about a career in real estate email me or call me Dan Piscioneri at 737-2121.

The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission requires 60 hours of education.  These are the two courses:

Real Estate Fundamentals To provide the student with a basic foundation for additional study and to support the practice of real estate in Pennsylvania. The course is designed to acquaint the student with the language, principals and laws that govern the business of real estate. The course emphasizes the underlying concepts of land, property rights in realty and the means, methods and laws that govern the conveyance of these rights.

Real Estate Practice To provide the student with an introduction to all facets of the real estate business, including a survey of fields of specialization. Emphasis is on the role of a real estate agent in the field of residential brokerage. This course is designed to acquaint the student with the basic techniques, procedures, regulations and ethics involved in a real estate transaction along with a working knowledge of the forms and documents used including the related mathematics.
Completion of an exam is also required.

Real Estate License Exam The State Real Estate License Exam for Salespersons is written and administered by Assessment Systems, Inc. of Philadelphia (ASI). The multiple-choice exam is made up of two parts. The Pennsylvania State Law portion of the exam contains 30-40 questions about the State License Act and Rules and Regulations of the State Real Estate Commission. The Uniform portion of the exam contains 95 general questions on ownership, contracts, brokerage, financing and valuation. The passing score is 75% on each portion of the exam.

To qualify for licensure, the applicant must be at least 18 years of age, complete two pre-license courses (Fundamentals and Practice) and pass both portions of the State Exam. The State Exam is given in the Harrisburg area (except on holidays) and at varying times in other locations throughout the state.

A reservation to take the exam may be made by calling PSI at 1-800-367-1565 or click here to go to their web site no later than three business days before the examination date you desire. Further information regarding the exam will be distributed to students at the beginning of each pre-license course.

Upon passing both portions of the State Exam, you may apply for licensure. An Application for Licensure, (signed by your sponsoring broker), transcripts of completed courses, and your notice for ASI of passing scores on each portion of the State Exam must be submitted to ASI to obtain a salesperson license. An application is provided by ASI along with your notice of passing scores.

I have been helping real estate sales people achieve their goals for over 25 years. If you have a desire to change your life or just require further information, call me.
